Highland Institute of Massage was born from an idea of delivering massage training with an emphasis on rehabilitation for both the sports and the not-quite so active people. As well as treating the individual we aim to train the therapist to be able to advise people how best to manage their own condition.

These courses do have a theoretical element but the emphasis is on the practical.

We will also be offering workshops and many of the days on courses are available as individual workshops.

Lisa Welsh graduated from St Andrews University in 2001 with an MA(Hons). After a serious back injury she changed direction and started her new career. She is a manipulative therapist after studying with the Northern Institute in 2010, an Advanced Remedial Massage and Sports and Remedial massage practitioner. She is also qualified to dry needle and ultrasound.

With over 10 years clinical experience and over 6 years teaching Sports and Remedial Massage

Other tutors will include a Pilates teacher, a PT who specialises in rehabilitation, advanced remedial massage and sports massage therapists.
